Southern hemisphere aromatic hop varieties

Hops from New Zealand and Australia are often associated with fruity, citrusy and tropical aromas, but the characteristics vary from variety to variety. The variety and addition time determine how the hops contribute to the finished beer.

Blade or pellets

Pellets are compact and easy to dose, whereas whole-leaf hops consist of whole dried hop cones. Not all varieties are available in both forms, so choose based on the recipe, brewing equipment and desired filtration.
